The presence of former Township Solicitor Michael Blee in the complaint likely caused a conflict of interest in Atlantic County.
Former Township Clerk Lisa Tilton’s lawsuit against Galloway Township will be settled in a Cape May County court, as court officials for both Cape May and Atlantic counties have confirmed the complaint has been transferred. On May 11, Tilton filed a complaint against the township, that mainly targets former Councilman Dennis Kleiner and former Township Manager Steve Bonanni as “political allies who had a vendetta” against Tilton, which she believes ultimately led to her dismissal from the township. However, others were named in the lawsuit, including former Township Solicitor Michael Blee, who has been nominated to the State Superior Court by Gov. Lisa Tilton said in due time, everything will be explained.

Officials from the township have yet to discuss the reasons for her absence, but Deputy Mayor Don Purdy said on Thursday afternoon he expects to be able to discuss the situation in the near future, which he said may be sometime in the next week. Deputy Clerk Carol Hackney has been serving as township clerk in Tilton’s absence. She is sharing the duties with Karen Bacon. On Tuesday night, she was granted the …
