I think that daycare are not only good for accademics but socially as well. Sometimes social interactions are more important because parents can teach them the ABC's but children have to learn on their own how to interact with other children. And the only way to do that is to be around other children.

ReplyMy grandmom watched her for a couple of years (which is the best when family members can watch them when they are little) Then she went to a daycare in Winslow

ReplyHonestly they're never too you to be introduce to letters, reading books is a great way and when you read put your finger under the words. Soon it will click with children that these squiggly lines mean something

ReplyAs for 3 and 4 year olds, the daycare should be introducing them to phonics and numbers. They need to start preparing for kindergarten. I know some might think that children are too young for this, but unfortunatly kindergarten is not what it use to be. Kindergartens are reading and writing (and this is the norm now). So if they are getting some of this in daycare, the better off they will be.

ReplyAnother thing to keep in mind is to make sure everthing is documented for infants. Teachers should document every diaper change and everthing that they eat.

Unfortunately no because NAYCE is super strict with the criteria, however I have come across daycare's not officially accredited, but they still strive to follow the guidelines. It looks like AtlanticCare Kids is accredited in our area.

I loved it!! The weather was perfect and there were tons of gift and food vendors. And as always the business owners were super helpful and nice.
