Woman Robbed at Gunpoint on Cherokee Drive in Galloway

A 42-year-old female was robbed at gunpoint on Cherokee Drive in Galloway Township at about 1:30 a.m. on Monday, July 15.

An unknown black male in his early 20s, wearing all black, reportedly pulled a silver handgun and demanded the female turn over her pocketbook and cell phone as she exited her vehicle, according to the Galloway Township Police Department.

The suspect is described as approximately 5’5” to 5’6” with a medium build. Anyone able to provide additional information is asked to contact Detective Corporal Eric Hendrickson at (609) 652-3705, ext. 339.

The alleged crime took place a block from where 36-year-old Metrevell Gatling was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head on July 10. Gatling was found at the intersection of E. Collins Road and Colonial Court. He died later that day.
